Okay, this story has just receintly been getting feedback (on ELM) and I am hoping that here on WWW that it will start getting feedback also. Thanks all! *whisper* most people here have read this already so I'll quickly add all the chapters.
~Samantha-arya
Genre: Romance/General/ adventure
Rating: PG (if you think otherwise tell me)
Summery: Samantha Potter is forced to live just like Harry. The Hortenses treat her horribly (like Harry and the Dursleys) And Samantha doesn't know anything about the magical world. She doesn't even live in England! But something changed all that. Theres a little Harry/Hermione and Samantha/Ron in the later chapters.
Prolouge
It is known throughout the magical world Harry Potter’s story. But in case you don’t know it here it is. Voldermort the most feared wizard in the entire magical world was rapidly gaining power. Voldermort wanted to kill Harry Potter because of a prophecy that had been made about Harry and Voldermort. That a boy born as the seventh month died (July) would destroy Voldermort forever.
So naturally Voldermort wanted to seek out this harmful boy and destroy him before he could destroy Voldermort. When Harry was one years old Voldermort appeared at Godric’s Hollow where the Potters lived. Voldermort then killed James Potter because he tried to protect Harry and Lily Potter.
Voldermort then killed Lily Potter because she tried to save Harry. But when Voldermort tried to kill Harry with the same killing curse that he’d used on Harry’s parents-Avada Kedavra- the curse failed because of the love that Harry’s mum had used to try to protect Harry.
Now as all this happened Samantha Potter was Harry Potter’s sister, Samantha though no one knew it had a special ancient bond between herself and her brother. Even though Samantha was at another wizards house she was just sitting there on the floor cooing softly when a blast of green light exploded before her eyes, a sharp pain erupted on her forehead and a lighting bolt scar appeared on her head right where the pain had been moments before.
The witch and wizard whose house she’d been in became alarmed at a slightly transparent figure of Voldermort began writhing as if it were burning with invisible fire. The witch’s who’s name was Andrea, Lily’s good friend began screaming in terror. Fred, Andrea’s husband ran into the room wand at the ready but when he saw the figure of
Voldermort he froze, fear etched in every line on his face. Samantha was just sitting looking at Voldermort curiously with a hint of pain in her eyes because of her burning scar. But quickly as Voldermort’s transparent-like form had appeared it disappeared.
It took a while for Andrea and Fred to recover from the shock of this. When they did they quickly grabbed Samantha and Floo Powdered to Godric’s Hollow. But when they arrived the Potters house was in ruins. Andrea fearing for her friend’s safety ran towards the ruins. Then she collapsed when she caught site of Lily and James’s dead ash covered bodies. “Fred what do we do with Samantha? Y-y-ou k-k-now –w-w-who killed them! Where’s Harry?” Andrea said her face tear-stained. Suddenly a light appeared in the sky Andrea recognized Rubeus Hagrid the Gamekeeper and Hogwarts, School of witchcraft and Wizardry, Albus Dumbledor’s trusted friend.
Andrea watched as Hagrid picked up a small bundle covered in blankets. Andrea soon figured out that Harry Potter, Samantha’s brother was in there. “Come on Fred we can give-sniff- Samantha-gulp-to Hagrid.” Andrea picked up Samantha and began to run towards Hagrid. But as quickly as Hagrid had picked up Harry he was gone…without having taken Samantha. “NO! HAGRID WAIT!” Andrea yelled but it was now use. Hagrid was gone.
Suddenly a grubby, dirty hand reached out and pulled Samantha from Andrea’s arms and ran off. “Hey!” Andrea yelled angrily. She and Fred began to follow the dirty raggedy man. But he ran to fast and was soon out of site. So sadly Andrea and Fred returned home. Andrea was miserable. Not only had she lost Lily’s only daughter to a dirty man who would probably kill her. Her best friend was gone…gone for eternity. Andrea spent eleven years in misery. (You’ll learn why she didn’t spend more years in misery later.) But what Andrea didn’t know was that that man was Peter Pettigrew Voldermort’s faithful servant, that, that man didn’t kill Samantha he sent her far away to America to live with the Hortenses who treated Samantha just as badly as the Dursley’s did Harry.
Sorry that Chapter was so short. I'll try to update as soon as possible but chapter 2 'Magic?' is very long!

See told you I was quick!!! ;D
Samantha sat up in bed and sighed. It had been a wonderful dream….kind of. She had been dreaming that she was rushing through the air wind on either side of her, someone was holding on to her tightly. She felt as if she had, had that dream before. Weird. Shrugging her shoulders she got up. She could hear Mrs. Hortense coming up the stairs. “Get up, you useless little girl up now! I want you to make the toast triangles that Alice wants, everything has to be perfect for Alice’s birthday.” Mrs. Hortense hammered on the door, shouted “Get up!” once more and left going down the stairs. Samantha waited until Mrs. Hortense’s high-heeled steps faded way before opening her drawer.
Samantha hated the Hortenses. They treated her like rat that was more disgusting than it should be. They gave her Alice’s old clothes to wear, and even though they fit Samantha perfectly, by the time Samantha got them they were all faded and worn out. It was as disgrace. Samantha even got the smallest and most ugliest bedroom in the house, and as Samantha thought, in the world. Samantha always had to go to school wearing Alice’s old, tattered, worn out, faded clothes. And since Alice hated Samantha, and that Alice was the most popular girl in the school, she told everyone not to be friendly in anyway to Samantha. And since everyone wanted the most popular girl to like them (it was that or Alice would set their name on the wall of the girls bathroom-and no girl liked that) they agreed. Like they had any choice.
So not only did Samantha have to live with the Hortenses but she had to go to school and be treated like a dog. One thing that Samantha thought was cool about her was her scar. Resting on her forehead was a lightning bolt shaped scar. Samantha had asked The Hortenses how she’d got it, they said she got it in the fire that killed her parents. Samantha had tried to think back into the time of the fire but all she got was someone writhing in front of her. She had supposed this was someone burning but she couldn’t see how someone could burn without fire. Samantha shrugged her shoulders again she didn’t know and doubted the Hortenses knew either. In the mean time she’d better go make that spoiled brat Alice her triangles before she threw a tantrum. Samantha walked down the stairs and opened the kitchen door, walked over to the counter and started cutting the toast into triangles. Alice was busy over by her many presents counting them.
…36...37...38...MMOOOMMMM!!! Alice shrieked. “I don’t feel like counting all my presents, how many are there?”
“40 darling” Mrs. Hortense said with a smile kissing Alice on her forehead. Samantha screwed up her eyes and waited for the tantrum that came with a blast. “40!” Alice screamed outraged. “But I asked for 50!” Mrs. Hortense quickly pushed Alice’s blond bangs off her face. “Well yes, but you see the presents you wanted were a bit more money than we expected” Alice looked disgusted. “I DON’T CARE IF THEY WERE A THOUSAND DOLLARS--Aunt Darlene did give me my hundred dollars didn’t she?” Samantha shook her head and rolled her eyes. “You! When are you going to be done?” Alice snapped at Samantha, “Here they’re done” Samantha said carrying the plate of toast to the table. For Alice’s birthday, Mr. and Mrs. Hortense were taking Alice and her friend to the old mansion in Bloomstown. Alice was a very princess like type girl, but she could also be very modern if she wanted to.
Sorry that I ended it like that.

At the moment she was a cross in between, she was wearing a pink skirt that reached the middle of her knees. Lace circled the skirt in lines all the way up to her waist. She was wearing a pink short sleeve shirt that had a pink bow at the neckline, the bottom on the shirt had pink rhinestones. Her blond hair was up in curls and yes it had some sort of pink in it, a pink bow. Samantha stared at Alice for a moment then looked away shaking her head, that girl was dressed as if for a party, she was going to a historical mansion for heavens sake! Samantha wasn’t all that crazy about Alice’s birthday. In fact she dreaded Alice’s birthday. Alice and her best friend, Diana, always went some place while Samantha had to go to Mrs. Hortense’s friend’s house, Mrs. Prescott, who was just as bad as Mrs. Hortense. The doorbell ring startled Samantha from her thoughts, “Oh, mom it must be Diana, you stay here, I’ll get it.” Alice said sweetly, just before Alice left the kitchen she gave Samantha an evil smirk, and stalked off. Samantha rolled her eyes when she heard Diana and Alice squealing like pigs because they were going to the mansion that they obviously had been dying to go to. Alice and Diana walked into the room chatting about how they couldn’t wait until the got there. “Come on you.” snapped Mrs. Hortense, “It’s time to go.” For a moment Samantha thought Mrs. Hortense was going to take her to Bloomstown with them, but then she remembered that she never went, and she was going to the dreaded, Mrs. Prescott’s. “Er…okay.” Samantha said sighing. Five minutes later they arrived in front of Mrs. Prescott’s house. “Hmm… it doesn’t look like she’s home, does it?” said Mr. Hortense squinting at the house. “Oh, she better be home, because she promised to watch her today.” Samantha prayed with all her heart that Mrs. Prescott wouldn’t be home. Mrs. Hortense and Samantha walked up the steps to Mrs. Prescott’s house. Mrs. Hortense rung the bell. Samantha’s heart began to thump. Two minutes passed …five…ten….Mrs. Hortense reached into her purse and took out her cell phone. But after a few minutes she hung up. “Oh she’s not home!” Mrs. Hortense cried, “ she really isn’t! The scumbag! I thought I could trust her!” Mrs. Hortense flushed red as a neighbor who was watering in plants looked over. “And what are you looking at?” Mrs. Hortense inquired. “Let’s go you!” she snapped at Samantha. When they reached the car, Alice began yelling at her mother, “Now what’ll we do, we’re not taking her with us!” ~`*`*`*`*`*`*~ Half and hour later Samantha was sitting in the back seat of the Hortenses’ car, stunned. The Hortenses hadn’t been able to find somebody to watch her. Everyone they called either wasn’t home, was out of town, or just couldn’t do it. So after giving Samantha a long talk Mrs. Hortense gave in mush to the displeasure of Alice. “But mom,” she complained, “Samantha ruins everything we take her to!” Now that was where Alice was exaggerating, Samantha only sometimes accidentally ruined stuff. Samantha didn’t really know how she did it. Once when she was (rarely) happy, she made fireworks erupt around her, she vaguely remembered when she was angry, she made Alexia Cornby (one of Alice’s friends) who was provoking Samantha, trip and fall face flat down in a pile of deer waste. A few minutes later Mr. and Mrs. Hortense, Alice, Diana, and Samantha (a good few paces behind) entered the mansion that according to history, George Washington and his family had once stayed in. Mr. Hortense signed everyone into the guestbook and paid the fare grumbling about “if that girl hadn’t come…” At once Alice and Diana ran ahead of everyone else, Samantha was quite certain that soon as always, Alice and Diana were going to get bored and start their habit of provoking Samantha. Sure enough Diana and Alice lest Mr. and Mrs. Hortense walk ahead then walked up to Samantha smirking, Diana opened up her overly glossed up lips and said, “Hello orphan.” Samantha folded her arms across her chest. “Bet your stupid parents set their own house on fire.” Though for all Samantha knew, what Diana said could have been true, Samantha was fired up. “They didn’t, but you probably would.” Diana and Alice laughed in ‘ I-must-think-I’m-all-this-and-that’ laughs, they thoroughly irked Samantha. “Ooo, sticking up for your no good, stupid, dumb, ridiculous, parents?” Alice asked. This was too much for Samantha she leapt forward but before she so much as touched a singly curl, with a BANG Alice and Diana flew through the air and landed with a soft ‘thwummp’ onto the carpet, their skirts seemed to be made of “carpet-magnet” and was over their heads. Children all around started laughing a rolling on the floor, while parents tried hard not to laugh and trying to hush their children at the same time. Mr. And Mrs. Hortense rushed forwards with cries. Mrs. Hortense picked Alice and Diana off the floor, brushing their dresses and fluffing their hair. Alice and Diana both turned red and gave Samantha looks, when they realized that everyone was laughing at them. Quickly the Hortenses, Diana and Samantha left. Even though Samantha knew that she was going to be in big trouble when they got home, she was laughing inside, and was trying not to laugh out loud. First they dropped Diana off at home. When they got to 45 Alison Road (where the Hortenses lived) Mrs. Hortense hailed her anger on Samantha. “You pushed Alice and Diana didn’t you?” “ No I-” “I don’t want to hear any excuses!” “No, really Mrs. Hortense I didn’t, I didn’t even touch them, it was like some sort of magic!” “You no good little…go to your room!” “But-” “GO!” Without another word, Samantha ran up the steps and into her room. Samantha fell onto her bed, and stared around the room. Slowly she began to giggle. Even though she’d pay for her moment of fun. But Samantha couldn’t help wondering, what was this weird force she had in herself? Was it magic? End Chapter. Okay, this is this, and you guys gotta wait until tomorrow...or...next week to read the other one, I haven't posted it anywhere yet. --Samantha.

Okay here's the next chapter. Though you might've already read it on ELM.
Chapter 3--Letter from….
The mansion incident had earned Samantha the longest punishment ever. Alice an her friends didn’t seem to think that Samantha had been given a sufficient punishment. They tried every time Alice had friends over (and she had them over very often) to get back at her. But some how Samantha always knew what to do. It was just like the weird occasions when Samantha did those weird things
*~*
It was Saturday afternoon. Mr. Hortense was sitting in an easy chair reading the morning paper. Mr. Hortense was flipping through the Macys catalog (Macys--for those of whom do not know what it is--is a department store all over the country that sells stuff like…furniture and clothes and stuff like that) Alice was on her laptop Instant Messaging her friends. Samantha sitting in the window seat staring out the window. She watched the postmaster stop in front of the Hortsenses mailbox (like the suburban mailboxes that are on the side of the street) and put the mail in. “Mails here” Samantha said turning to the room at large. “Well, go get it then!” Alice snapped. Mr. and Mrs. Hortense said nothing. Samantha sighed and walked across the room, opened the front door, walked to the mailbox, and slipped her hand in, pulling out the wad of mail. She stopped in the hallway to look at who got what. (don’t say she’s being nosy!) She saw a check for Mr. Hortense, a letter to Mrs. Hortsense, the August issue of Teen People for Alice (though Alice got it even though she was two years too young for it, being eleven) under all the letters (and magazines) Samantha gasped, for there was a letter for her! Samantha stared at the letter. The address wasn’t written with pen or pencil, it wasn’t even written with a computer or typewriter text either.
It wasn’t even written on a normal envelope. It was written on a heavy old-fashioned type of paper. It was written with what Samantha was sure a quill, but couldn’t be sure. Samantha has no clue what this was all about. Was this a prank of Alice’s? But somehow Samantha looked at the letter, and knew it wasn’t a prank of any kind: Miss Samantha Potter Ugliest bedroom on the face of the Earth. 45 Alison rd Portland, Maine 21103
The letter bore no stamp or any kind postal mark at all. Ugliest bedroom on the face of the earth? Okay, well, yeah, Samantha did live in an ugly bedroom, but whoever sent this letter, how could they possibly know? “Hello? Where’s the mail? You’d better not be reading my stuff!” Alice called from the living room. Samantha pocketed her letter and walked back into the living room. After handing each member of the family his or her mail, Samantha shakily ran to her room. Sitting on her bed she eagerly slit open the envelope. The letter was written on the same heavy parchment, with the same quill-like writing:
MoonWood School for Witches and Wizards.
Dear Miss Potter,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at MoonWood School for Witches and Wizards. Your airplane ticket and train ticket are among this letter. We are aware that you currently reside with Muggles. We shall send someone to your place of residence later on today. You shall have all or most, of your questions answered then.
Sincerely, Professor Hordex Headmaster of MoonWood.
Samantha’s mouth had been open since the first sentence. Questions zoomed through her head. Muggles? Witches, Wizards? Who were they going to send? How were they aware of her? Hearing a twig snap, Samantha looked out the window. A woman in odd burgundy robe things, was walking up the path. Samantha’s heart thumped. The door bell rang as Samantha raced down the steps, her heart pounding.
A/N Cliffy eh? Sorry I had too! Sorry, not very long eh?

You'll see it l8ter chapters....REALLY later chapters...
FINALLY!
Truth Uncovered…continued…
Samantha gulped as Mrs. Hortense opened the door and the woman stood there. Mrs. Hortense looked at the lady wide-eyed, but she quickly covered the fact that she was surprised. “Who are you?” she asked her eyebrows raised. “I am Professor Miranda Areston Deputy Headmistress of MoonWood school for Witches and Wizards, who are you?” Mrs. Hortenses’ face had turned milk white the moment the lady had said “MoonWood”. “I-I am Whitney Hortense” Professor Areston looked over Mrs. Hortense’ shoulder at Samantha who was frozen stiff on the staircase. “Ah…Miss Potter, please come down.” Samantha walked down the stair robot like and stood behind Mrs. Hortense. “Could you please move?” Professor Areston looked at Mrs. Hortense with distaste. Mrs. Hortense moved out of the way and slammed the door. “Please show me where I can rest after my journey (A/N though as you all know with magic Professor Areston’s journey couldn’t have been that hard) Samantha.” Professor Areston said with a smile. Samantha led Professor Areston the living room, Mrs. Hortense trailing behind. When they entered the living room Mr. Hortense looked up with raised eyebrows, Alice just looked at Professor Areston and rolled her eyes. When everyone had taken their seats, they all looked around at each other as if saying say something! Samantha decided to take the job upon herself and said, “Er…Professor Areston who...erm…are you?” Well like I said I’m Miranda Areston Deputy Headmistress of MoonWood School for Witches and Wizards.” Samantha nodded. “Yes, you learn how to be a professional magician there?” Samantha asked though she wasn’t keen on learning magic tricks. Professor Areston laughed. “No, there you learn how to use your wand properly, to live like a witch or wizard, and other things. Not those ridiculous things Muggles call magic!” Samantha was utterly confused. Muggles? “I don’t understand.” Professor Areston shook her head. Maybe you’ll understand this, Miss Potter you are a witch.” Samantha’s mouth dropped open. “W-what?” “You are a witch” Professor Areston repeated. Alice gave off a shrill branch of laughter. “Yeah right!” Mr. and Mrs. Hortense glanced at Alice. Samantha was confused, if she was a witch then how come she hadn’t turned all the people who’d hurt her into bats? But then, she did do odd things. Hadn’t she made Alice and Diana become embarrassed in public? How about Alexia Cornby? Professor Areston must have guessed what she was thinging because with a sigh she said, “I think it’s about time Miss Potter was told the truth.” She said more to herself than to Samantha. “Years ago ten years to be exact, a terrible wizard by the name of—“ Professor Areston took a sharp intake of breath. “Well no one really likes to say his name. Everyone usually says You-Know-Who or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. But it’s Vol…Volder…Voldermort.” Professor Areston broke off with a shudder.
“Anyway he cam to Godrics Hollow, England where you your parents and your twin brother, Harry (A/N yeah I know I said they weren’t twins but I changed my mind) were living. October 31st was the date. You were at a friend of the Potters on this particular day. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named killed your parents and then tried to kill your brother, with the Avada Kedevra but no one knows why, the curse backfired and hit You-Know-Who instead.” Samantha ventured to say something, “and killed You-Know-Who?” Professor Areston sighed. “No, some say it killed him, whatever I say, no he’s probably out there bidding his time. Anyway, for some reason unknown the curse had the same effect on you as it did on your brother. Andrea and Frank—the Potters friend—reported that a transparent figure of You-Know-Who appeared in front of you. Andrea reports that the lightning bolt scar that now resides on your forehead also appeared. Your brother has one identical to this day.” Samantha was still a little confused. She understood that the magical world was some secret world hidden from the non-magic people. She understood why she had that lighting bolt scar, or at least part of the reason. “But that doesn’t explain why I’m here in America and not England.” Professor Areston threw a vicious look at the Hortenses before continuing. “Well, when your house was in ruins and Hagrid went to go rescue poor little Harry from there, Andrea hurried after him trying to get him to take you, but he didn’t hear her and soon disappeared. Andrea distressed decided to take care of you, but a grubby little man snatched you up and despite his ragged look was fast and he soon got away. I don’t know exactly how you ended up here.” “And why am I going to MoonWood not some wizard school in England?” Samantha asked. “I don’t know why Albus Dumbledore Headmaster of Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry requested that you go to MoonWood instead of Hogwarts.” More questions erupted in Samantha’s mind. “England…Hogwarts?” “Oh, Hogwarts is like MoonWood and teaches the same subjects as MoonWood. And you as you have probably figured out by now are not American your are English.” “Okay one more question, Muggles?” Samantha asked. “People with not a drop of Magical blood in their veins, people like these,” Professor Areston jerked her head in the Hortenses’ direction. Samantha’s mind was cleared, at least some what. “Ha! Witches, Wizards! Gimmie a break!” Alice said with a laugh. “Alice dear, it’s all true.” Mr. Hortense said. Alice’s jaw dropped. “I’m Lily Potter’s cousin.” Samantha looked over at Mr. Hortense, she was actually related to him? “Lily was a no good idiot. She got some weird stupid letter from some school called Hogwart or Hoggywam or Hogslam or something of that sort and went to that freak Hog school and came home for the holidays talking about this and that and weird stuff that no one would want to listen to. And then,” Mr. Hortense took a breath before continuing. “Then she met James boy and got married and had a pair of hoggy twins you and that Harry boy and of course you were both weirdo’s!” Samantha stared at Mr. Hortense, her mouth open. Alice looked like she was in total shock. “Well that’s nice.” Professor Areston said impatiently. Come Samantha, I suggest you pack.” Mrs. Hortense looked outraged. “There’s no way I am paying for her to be taught magic….magic stuff!” Professor Areston smiled sweetly. “There will be no need ma’am, the cost will be taken care of. Anyway we wouldn’t want your money.” “What do you mean you wouldn’t want my money?” Mrs. Hortense asked with folded arms and raised eyebrows. “We have different money than you do. Samantha go pack please.” “Right,” Samantha said jumping up as she ran to her room.
Well? I promise I'll get the next chapter up as soon as I finish typing it up. IP:
