I guess I can't put off the lessons anymore. Welcome Class! Today we'll be studying the Sosala Root. Sosala can be found in most forests in New Zealand, only. The root is usually ground into powder and used the most difficult and gruesome potions. Sosala is also good for curing really bad cases of the flu, lice, and Lyme Desiese (excuse my spelling). Sosala also needs to be taken care of carefully. For if handeled unproperly it will immeditely try to strangle the offencer. The proper way to handle a Sosala Root is to gently pull it from the forest floor and promptly slip it into a tight flet bag (it feels more comfortable this way) once you have the Sosala root jouryned to where you want it--never take it out of its bag--aggresively yank it out of the bag. Yank it or it will stick fast to the bag. Once this is done the Sosala is ready to act normally. It will let you do whatever you want, ground it, stew it.... Now what I want you all to do it to follow my instructions on the proper care of the Sosala Root and do everything. The felt bags are beside the pots of Sosala. Carry on, if you need any help please ask. ~Proffesor Samantha-arya

Valida's mouth dropped. She looked at the professor as if she were crazy. Shaking her head, she went to get herself a bag.

Leila picked up her felt bag and opened it wide. Eyeing the sosala root warily, she started to pick it up gently. Sure enough, as predicted, the root started to struggle. The Ravenclaw student stuffed it unceremoniously into the felt bag and pulled the draw string tight.
A little out of breath, she tucked a loose lock of hair behind her ear.
"What do you want us to do now, Professor?" She asked, holding the bag aloft.

"Yank it out Miss Tregunna, and lay it in front of you." Proffesor Samantha-arya says smiling at Leila.

Leila took a deep breath, opened the sack and pulled the root out sharply. Again, it struggled in her hand but she managed to untangle it from the bag and placed it on the workbench in front of her.
"Fiesty little devils, aren't they?" she said, as she watched the root writhe around. "How do you prepare them, Professor?"

"I was just getting to that. Now, once you have managed to get the root into the bags, would you please gather 'round this table here, yes, yes, bring your Sosala. Now, place the root onto the table in front of you--you should have yanked the root out of the felt bags--wash the root--use your wands, 'auquamenti'-- once you've washed the root use the knives that are lying on the table to gently cut up the root."
((Guys one of you ask why you can't use your own knives, kay?))

Leila raised her hand, "But Professor, why can't we use our own knives?" She said, with a slight frown.

" good question Miss Tregunna, 5 points to Ravenclaw just for asking, the Sosala only likes certain knives to cut it, otherwise it will try to strangle you. The Silver knives are the knives" Professor Samantha-arya said smiling at Leila.

Leila nodded. Taking her wand from her pocket, she washed her Sosala root as previously instructed. When satisfied it was clean enough, she laid the squirming root on the worksurface and grasped her silver knife.
"How finely should we chop the roots, Professor?" she asked.

" thin....about half and inch." Professor Samantha-arya answered, " And make sure they're neatly cut too." She added.

Valida had her root in her hand. She listened to the Professor and did all that she was told in the order of how to do it.

Leila could only shake her head as she kept her Sosala root from struggling as she chopped it.
